WeeklyBurn is built to be mean in a specific, narrow way: about fantasy football, among people who signed up to be roasted by each other. This policy is the line between that and everything else. It is part of our Terms of Service.
The short version. Roast people about their lineup, their trades, their draft, and their losing. Do not use this product to attack who someone is, to say things about them that are actually true and actually damaging, or to reach anyone who did not agree to be here.
1. Everyone in the league must be a consenting adult
When you connect a league, you confirm that every member is 18 or older and has agreed to receive this kind of content and to be described in it. Do not connect a league containing anyone under 18. Do not connect a league where someone has told you they do not want to take part. If a leaguemate asks to be left out, remove their notes and stop sharing recaps with them.
2. What you must not write in league notes
League notes are the personal detail that drives the jokes. They are the most likely place for this product to cause real harm, so they carry the tightest rules. Do not enter:
- Anything targeting a person's race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic
- Real accusations of criminal conduct, or claims about someone that are presented as true and would damage their reputation, employment, or relationships
- Sexual content about any identifiable person, and any sexual content involving minors
- Anyone's medical or mental-health information, financial information, immigration status, or criminal record
- Home addresses, phone numbers, workplaces, account numbers, or other information that could be used to locate, contact, or impersonate someone
- Threats of violence, encouragement of self-harm, or wishes of harm toward anyone
- Content about a real person who is not a member of that league
- Anything you know to be false and are entering in order to hurt someone
A useful test: the joke should be about fantasy football decisions or about a running joke your league already shares. If the note would still be hurtful stripped of all fantasy football context, it does not belong here.
3. What you must not do with recaps
- Do not share a recap outside the league in a way intended to humiliate someone, and do not post one publicly if any person named in it has asked you not to
- Do not present a recap as a factual account. It is automatically generated comedy, and passing it off as reporting misleads people and exposes you
- Do not edit a recap to make it look like we said something we did not
- Do not use recaps to harass, bully, or pressure anyone
4. What you must not do with the Service
- Do not connect a league you are not a member of, and do not try to gain access to a league, account, or recap that is not yours
- Do not scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Service, or try to enumerate public recap links
- Do not attempt to manipulate the AI into producing content this policy prohibits, including through prompt injection in league notes or team names
- Do not resell, sublicense, or present the Service as your own, or use output to train another model
- Do not interfere with the Service's operation, security, or availability, or circumvent usage limits or paid features
- Do not use the Service for anything unlawful
5. What we do about it
We do not review recaps before they are generated. We do apply automated filters intended to prevent the worst categories of output, but those filters are not perfect and are not a promise.
When we learn of a breach of this policy, we may remove content, disable a public link, suspend or terminate accounts, and, where required, report it. We can do this without notice where the harm is serious.
6. Reporting something
If a recap says something about you that should not be public, or you have been included in a league without agreeing to it, email contact@weeklyburn.com. Tell us the link or the league name and what the problem is. We will look at it promptly and, where the concern is about your own name or personal information, we will act first and work out the details afterwards.
You do not need an account to report something, and you do not need to be the person who shared it.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is material we will raise the version number and ask you to accept it the next time you sign in.
